Other Tourist Attractions

Local Museum and heritage sites include the County Museum in Oakham, Harringworth Viaduct which often sees steam rail tours, Rockingham Castle, the interpretation panels at the former Pilton Quarry site, Fineshade Woods and East Carlton Park with its post-industrial steelmaking collection.

The Museum promotes a regular organised walk from the site to tour local industrial archaeological remains and the fantastic natural history of the area as part of the annual Rutland Walking Week. These walks are available for visitors with permission from local landowners and our Trustees by arrangement.

Visit the Discover Rutland website to discover more about local attractions and where to stay.
